Installation & Driverless Design Benefits

The RAB SUMO-R-5 features driverless design that allows for extremely thin fixture installation. Installation is straightforward: turn off power at the circuit breaker, remove the mounting plate from the back of the fixture, fasten the mounting plate to the J-BOX with mounting screws, select your desired CCT using the switch, wire the surface mount (white-white, black-black), secure each connection with a wire nut, align spring clips on the fixture with the mounting plate, then carefully tuck wires into the J-box and raise the surface mount up into place. Optional caulking around the mounting surface edge with silicone sealant is recommended. The 5.5″ round design fits standard ceiling layouts while the edge-lit technology ensures uniform, smooth illumination. Compatible with TRIAC/ELV dimmers for ambiance control.
