The Lutron Claro USB Receptacles install easily into standard single-gang electrical boxes using side or back wire installation. The receptacles accept up to two 14 AWG to 10 AWG (1.5 mm² to 6.0 mm²) wires per terminal and support solid or stranded copper wires only. Minimum wallbox dimensions are 3 inches (76 mm) H x 2 inches (51 mm) W x 2.5 inches (64 mm) D. The USB Type C ports feature Power Delivery capability, providing up to 55W (20V 2.75A, 15V 3A, 9V 3A, or 5V 3A) when used as a single port. When both ports are in use simultaneously, the PD port provides up to 45W and the convenience port provides 5V 1.5A. The CAR-15-ACTR model includes one Type A port (5V 1.5A) and one Type C port, while the CAR-15-CCTR model features two Type C ports. The tamper-resistant outlets comply with UL498 and provide enhanced safety for homes with children. Compatible with USB 1.1/2.0/3.0/USB PD 3.0 devices and battery charging specification BC1.2.
