Description
This WAC Lighting HR-8401E remodel housing provides integrated low voltage power for 4″ downlight trims. The non-IC rated housing features an integral electronic transformer with advanced protection and is suitable for shallow joist installations. Three knockouts accommodate easy wiring with chain wiring capability for multiple fixtures.
- Integral electronic transformer with 120V input, 12V output, 50W maximum
- Soft start feature extends lamp life, compatible with SORAA MR16 LED
- Advanced auto-reset, short circuit, and overload protection
- Accommodates one 12V MR16 lamp, 50W maximum (lamp and trim sold separately)
- 20 gauge steel housing painted black with ceramic bi-pin socket
- Two heavy gauge inner retention clips push out onto ceiling to firmly hold housing in place
- Three knockouts and four Romex style wiring connectors, suitable for chain wiring
- J-box and transformer accessible through ceiling opening
- Non-IC rated: insulation must be kept at least 3″ away from housing
- Damp location rated with 5 year warranty
